Brent has been licensed as a professional counselor and a licensed marriage and family therapist for over 20 years. His focus is working with men and couples.
As a Christ follower, Brent endeavors to use Christ-centered therapy approaches that focus on the heart to help clients find truth that will set them free and give them hope. He recognizes that living life involves an understanding of an individual’s spiritual issues as well as addressing emotional and relational issues. He believes that it is only through the working of the Spirit of God that real and lasting change is able to be achieved.
Brent has a heart for healthy marriages and helping men navigate the challenges of living a godly life as husbands and fathers. He sees the value of supportive relationships as part of the healing process and he endorses and recommends counseling techniques which are intended to bring accountability, education, and support to those he works with.
Brent has a Master’s degree in Counseling from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Masters of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is licensed by the State of Texas as a Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Brent is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and is certified to administer PREPARE/ENRICH premarital and marital inventory. He has worked with individuals dealing with sexual addiction and is trained in conflict resolution and mediation.
